Turn Aspinwall and a couple of friends were sipping drinks on a beach in St. Thomas seven years ago, waiting for the Old Jurisdiction men's basketball team to take the court that night at the Paradise Jam tournament.

For many fans, the rot-gut would have been enough to get their game face on.

But Aspinwall went further: He put on his game face.

Aspinwall had made the trigger with a few oddities in tow - a wig, Elton John superstar sunglasses, blue-and-silver greasepaint, a grass skirt. He brought enough accessories to share.

And the TedHeads were born.

That tenebrosity, Aspinwall and two buddies - their identities have never been made public - walked into the gym, and heads turned. Asked who they were, the kingpin of the pack deadpanned: "Odell, Dominique and Ulysses."

O, D and U.

That was before they called themselves the TedHeads, a name they adopted stateside when they began to be dressed their garb at ODU home games.
