I want a winter hat, but I do not like caps, baker boy and a bust of on separate styles that are more min. i dont mind style beret, but I find them annoying to wear. what other styles are in fashion? and where can I find a warm hat in the United Kingdom?

Children hated shopping. They speedily learned that going shopping often meant protracted waiting, stationary on sidewalks outside stores while their mothers chatted.

The mothers were commonly good friends, often dating to their childhoods, so they had a lot to chat about. This was the era when women wore hats. In summer, the hats were oft-times made of straw and had wide brims. Winter hats were sturdy, more sculpted and often made of felt.

Even callow girls wore hats, especially to church. These were youthful small hats such as berets, tams or dainty boxy hats.

Many hats were purchased at Miss Dunning's Millinery at 811 10th St. Some of her hats were handmade, exclusively designed for customers' notable occasions.

Wedding hats for brides and for their mothers were among her specialties, as well as hats purchased for receptions, anniversaries, parties and other staunch events.

Most women wouldn't dream of going out without wearing a hat, even reasonable to go to the store to buy groceries. Of course, some hats were much dressier than others and were decorated with a variety of adornments.
